Can't slow down!

I think since summer started I've only had two days where nothing has really happened-today and yesterday. There's just been so much stuff going on! It's not a bad thing, though, because I think I've gotten used to actually having interesting days. All 3 of my brothers were at home last week, which is the first time in YEARS. I'm working on driving and my first drive with the instructor soon. OH! I'm going to a Paramore/No Doubt concert soon and I am so stoked

It really hasn't felt like your generic summer to me yet. I'm still pasty pale, ha ha. At least I got out of my art fart. Gah, I have summer homework for an art course I got in to, which I really don't want to do, but I can't stop thinking about it. We have to pick a theme, and I've been mulling various ones over.
Anyways. In conclusion, life is going swimmingly for me.

Q&A!
What program do you use for your digital pics?
^{-I used to use theGIMP, but I've since recently downloaded Photoshop CS3. I wont tell you where to download that since it gave me possibly a virus or just some nasty spyware and I didn't bookmark where I got it. That, and I don't want to get in trouble XD}
How old are you?
^{-I'm 17. Almost done with my junior year.}
Do you use a tablet?
^{-No, I don't. I don't have enough money to get one, but one of these days I'd like to nab one. Or get a Bamboo, since those are cheapest.}

Ok, now I can talk. Facebook IM stops me from typing on another tab as soon as I get an IM. Dunno why.
ANYWAY. It's an IB course, I'm not sure what it means, but I think it's a national course. My art teacher said it would look good on a college application XD The general idea is to think up a theme for your year and try to bend it and manipulate it as many ways as you can. Kind of like showing your versatility. Like she showed me an example of a girl's theme of the things women go through for the perception of beauty. She suggested we do something polarly opposite of anything we could want. I don't want to do that because the it's my senior year, the teacher is a little crazy, so I want to make it enjoyable. I think I showed you this gorgeous illustration my a Scandinavian illustrator that I fell in love with. This sparked a little interest in illustration. I think I'm going to tinker with the theme of illustration. There are so many different styles that I absolutely love, and it's crazy how I can feel so moved by a childrens' book illustration. I don't think I'd just do childrens' boooks, but other things. Like new takes on Disney movies (I was watching Beauty and the Beast, I wanted to fiddle with it), or folklore or old stories. I dunno. I'm not sure how I'd bend it to the way that she was implying. So I need to think about more ideas. If you have some, let me know

She gave me a handout for this, I need to find it. We're supposed to do something with the theme, but I can't remember what.

Oh! That sounds really really fun O_O The women and what they do for beauty sounds like a lot of fun xD

If I were to do that, I'd prolly pick something a bit broad... Like "How a child sees the world" Just showing how everyday objects or happenings to adults are full throttle adventures to children. I dunno xD I'll think of more, sounds diverting.

I was also consider 'telling stories' or something, or how it brings us to a different reality. But I'm not sure.

ooooh OOOH OOOOOOOOOOOHHH!!!! The theme can be words that sound different than their meaning. Like Desert and Dessert. Draw like a guy "stranded" on an ice cream sundae. Or Date and Date (nuts) A couple going on a "date" Theyre riding on a giant flying nut xD
